Whistler/Squamish Area Lakes: Brohm and Stump lake cutthroat have been taken on leech patterns with a fast retrieve and have been feeding on daphnia, bloodworms and size #18-#14 chironomids. Rainbows and cutthroat in Whistler have been caught on leech patterns (black) and are also feeding on chironomids. Mayfly hatches are going strong north of Pemberton. The black ant hatch occured all last week with the very hot weather so we should be moving into regular spring fishing from now forward.
Whistler/Squamish Area Rivers: The Squamish River is finished until the pinks return this August. The Cheakamus and the Mamquam are high and dirty but should become fishable soon with a mayfly emergence occuring almost daily.
